ATLANTA MISSION TRIP

Every year, we send teams of students on spring break mission trips to serve in other parts of our state, country, and world. This year, we are sending a team to Atlanta to work with the Pure Hope Project. This organization seeks to inspire hope in a hopeless community by living relationally with their neighbors, allowing them to have a continual presence in the neighborhood that allows them to first learn from the community and then to be better mentors.

The Project consists of multiple programs that provide both relief and developmentally support for the neighbors. Pure Hope’s programs are Adopt-a-Block / Community Food Pantry, Community Dinners, Homework Assistance for students, Adopt-a-Kid, Adopt-a-School and other programs partnered with community organizations. On this trip, you will have the opportunity to serve with many of these different programs, as well as connecting with many of the kids, teens, and adults living in the neighborhood.

The dates for this trip will be March 16th - 22nd, 2024. The cost is still to be determined. Because we fundraise together as a team, the goal is for no one to have to pay any of that out of pocket, other than the deposit.

Applications are available from the staff, students leaders, or at Large Group Service. They are due to a staff member by November 11th. A $10 deposit will be due with your application in order to hold your spot, which you can pay via card using the link below.
